ETAP PS
Some modules
The ETAP Load Flow Analysis module calculates the bus voltages, branch power
factors, currents, and power flows throughout the electrical system. ETAP allows for
swing, voltage regulated, and unregulated power sources with multiple power grids and
generator connections. It is capable of performing analysis on both radial and loop
systems. ETAP allows you to select from several different methods in order to achieve
the best calculation efficiency.–
The ETAP Short-Circuit Analysis program analyzes the effect of 3-phase, line-to-ground,
line-to-line, and line-to-line-to-ground faults on electrical distribution systems. The
program calculates the total short circuit currents as well as the contributions of
individual motors, generators, and utility ties in the system. Fault duties are in
compliance with the latest editions of the ANSI/IEEE Standards (C37 series) and IEC
Standards (IEC 60909 and others).
Star is a fully integrated system protective device coordination and selectivity module
within ETAP. Star offers the state-of-the-art tool for performing device coordination,
protection, and testing. This is achieved by utilizing intelligent one-line diagrams,
comprehensive device libraries, and an integrated multi-dimensional database. Star
enables power engineers to easily and efficiently perform protective device coordination
studies. The built-in intelligent features provide informed and reliable recommendations
regarding the feasibility of the devices under consideration. Engineers can quickly
realize possible design issues and make informed decisions to improve system
reliability, increase system stability, and boost financial savings.
